We are often asked what the experience of the Bedouin Campsite in Wadi Rum is like so here we’ll share the secret. The Bedouin Campsite we use in Wadi Rum is the ‘Hilton of the Desert’. The campsite has small tents (more like fabric rooms) with mattresses, free wifi internet, showers, great food, loads of space, and more. Staying at the campsite is the best way to experience the wonders of Wadi Rum and the desert landscape where the iconic movie, Lawrence of Arabia, was filmed. The sunsets and sunrises are the most magical time to be in Wadi Rum, and enjoying authentic Bedouin cuisine amidst the tranquility of the desert is a powerful and unforgettable experience.
Our campsite always exceeds our guests’ expectations and those who opt to stay in a hotel instead (which we offer as a free option on all our tours to Wadi Rum) often come back wishing that they had chosen the camp.
The campsite in Wadi Rum is modern and fully equipped. Accommodation is in small tents of up to 5 people (usually less, and couples or families often end up with a private tent). If you want to guarantee a private room, that’s possible, and there are also chalets which you can upgrade to. We generally suggest that you check the different options once you arrive and upgrade at that time.
The camp is set in the heart of Wadi Rum’s beautiful desert scenery, has amazing food, and is the perfect place to start your jeep safari, hike, camel ride, or just relax (there is a swimming pool in summer months).
